Trinity International University of Ambassadors (TIUA) is a Christ-centered institution committed to excellence in education, ministry, and global leadership. Faculty, staff, administrators, and contractors serve as representatives of TIUA and are expected to model integrity, professionalism, and Christlike character at all times.
This Faculty & Staff Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior and ethical expectations for all employees and representatives of TIUA and its subsidiaries and affiliate institutions.
1. Christ-Centered Professional Conduct
All faculty and staff are expected to demonstrate spiritual maturity and Christlike character in their work and interactions.
Employees must:

Treat students, colleagues, and partners with respect and dignity.

Demonstrate honesty, humility, and fairness.
-
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
-
Avoid speech or behavior that causes division, confusion, or harm.
Faculty and staff are expected to represent TIUA in a manner that honors God and reflects the mission and values of the institution.
2. Biblical Basis for Conflict Resolution
TIUA follows biblical principles for addressing concerns, grounded in Matthew 18:15:
“If your brother sins, go and correct him privately.”
Conflicts and concerns should be addressed:

Directly and respectfully with the person involved whenever possible.

Through proper internal channels rather than through gossip, informal alliances, or social media.
Faculty and staff should avoid public criticism of colleagues, students, or the institution and instead seek confidential, constructive resolution.
3. Professional Responsibilities
Faculty and staff are expected to:

Perform their duties with excellence, reliability, and consistency.

Be punctual and prepared for classes, meetings, and assignments.

Maintain accurate academic and administrative records.
-
Follow TIUA policies, procedures, and reporting structures.

Support the mission, vision, and strategic direction of TIUA.
Faculty have additional responsibilities, including:

Teaching in alignment with approved curriculum and institutional values.
-
Providing a fair and respectful learning environment.
-
Maintaining professional boundaries with students and avoiding favoritism.
4. Ethical Standards and Integrity
TIUA prohibits any form of unethical or dishonest behavior. This includes:

Fraud, financial misrepresentation, or misuse of funds.
-
Falsification of records, credentials, reports, or documentation.
-
Misrepresentation of TIUA’s name, partnerships, affiliations, or programs.
-
Using one’s position for personal gain or manipulation.
Employees must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest to the Office of Institutional Affairs.
5. Confidentiality and Protection of Information
Faculty and staff must protect the confidentiality of:

Student information and records.
-
Internal communications and documents.
-
Financial, legal, and operational data.
-
Personnel files and HR matters.
Confidential information may not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals or shared publicly, including on social media or in interviews.
This obligation continues even after employment with TIUA ends.
6. Respectful and Safe Work Environment
TIUA is committed to maintaining a work environment that is safe, respectful, and free from harassment or discrimination.
Prohibited behavior includes:

Harassment or bullying of any kind.

Discrimination based on protected characteristics.

Threatening, hostile, or abusive conduct.
-
Sexual harassment or any inappropriate verbal, written, or physical behavior.
All faculty and staff must contribute to a healthy culture where every person is valued and treated with dignity.
7. Use of TIUA Property and Resources
Employees are entrusted with TIUA property and resources, including facilities, equipment, email accounts, software, and systems.
Employees must:

Use university resources primarily for official, approved purposes.

Protect systems, passwords, and confidential data.
-
Refrain from accessing, downloading, or sharing inappropriate content.
-
Not remove or misuse TIUA property for personal benefit.
Misuse of resources may result in disciplinary action.
8. Social Media and Public Representation
Faculty and staff are often viewed as public representatives of TIUA, both in person and online.
Employees must not:

Post defamatory, misleading, or harmful content about TIUA, its leaders, students, or partners.

Share internal communications, confidential documents, or sensitive information online.
-
Present personal opinions as official TIUA policy.
-
Give public statements or media interviews on behalf of TIUA without authorization.
Public communication regarding TIUA should only be made by designated, approved representatives.
9. Academic and Institutional Integrity
Employees are responsible for upholding the integrity of:

Academic programs and evaluations.
-
Degree verification and academic records.
-
Policies governing earned and honorary degrees.
-
Institutional standards, accreditation-related processes, and compliance.
Faculty and staff must not misrepresent TIUA’s accreditation, partnerships, or academic status in any context.
10. Use of Authority and Leadership Responsibility
Leadership at TIUA is a form of service and stewardship.
Employees in positions of authority must not:

Abuse their power or influence.
-
Exploit students, staff, or colleagues.
-
Engage in favoritism, intimidation, or coercion.
-
Cross ethical or professional boundaries.
Leaders are expected to model humility, accountability, and integrity and to create a culture of trust and respect.
11. Reporting Concerns and Accountability
Faculty and staff have a duty to report:

Policy violations.
-
Misconduct or ethical concerns.
-
Safety or security threats.
-
Suspected financial or administrative irregularities.
Reports should be made through the appropriate institutional offices, such as the Office of Institutional Affairs or Human Resources.
TIUA prohibits retaliation against any faculty or staff member who raises a concern in good faith.
12. Disciplinary Process
When conduct concerns arise, TIUA follows a fair, documented, and confidential process that may include:

Informal counseling or corrective coaching.

Verbal or written warnings.
-
Performance improvement plans or additional training.
-
Reassignment, suspension, or reduced responsibilities.
-
Termination of employment.
-
Revocation of institutional privileges or titles.
The level of response will depend on the nature and severity of the conduct.
13. Employment Status
Unless otherwise stated in a written contract, employment with TIUA and its subsidiaries is considered at-will.
TIUA reserves the right to make employment decisions consistent with institutional needs, mission alignment, and this Code of Conduct.
14. Commitment to TIUA’s Mission
By serving at TIUA, faculty and staff affirm their support of the university’s mission to provide Christ-centered education, develop global leaders, and impact communities and nations.
All employees are expected to:

Uphold the Christian identity and values of TIUA.

Represent the institution with excellence and integrity.
-
Support initiatives that advance education, ministry, and global service.
