Volunteers at Trinity International University of Ambassadors (TIUA) serve a vital role in advancing the mission of the university and its subsidiaries, including TIUA School of Business, Trinity International Chaplaincy Institute, and Trinity Girls Network Corp. Volunteers represent TIUA in academic, ministry, outreach, event, and global capacities. Their conduct must reflect professionalism, integrity, and Christlike character.
This Volunteer Code of Conduct establishes expectations to ensure a safe, respectful, and ethical environment for all.
1. Christlike Behavior and Spiritual Conduct
Volunteers are expected to demonstrate Christlike character in all interactions, including humility, patience, compassion, and respect. Behavior that fails to honor TIUA’s Christian mission—whether in person, online, or while serving—is prohibited.
Volunteers shall refrain from:

Gossip, slander, or divisive behavior

Profanity, abusive language, or disrespectful conduct

Any action that contradicts biblical values or compromises TIUA’s testimony
2. Representation of TIUA
Volunteers are considered ambassadors of TIUA.
They must:

Represent the university with professionalism

Follow instructions given by TIUA leadership

Protect the reputation and integrity of TIUA

Use TIUA’s name, brand, and affiliation only with authorization
Volunteers must never speak publicly on behalf of TIUA without written approval.
Unauthorized representation—including unauthorized delegations, fundraising, travel coordination, or partnerships—is prohibited.
3. Professional Responsibilities
Volunteers are expected to:

Arrive on time and complete all assigned duties responsibly

Maintain a cooperative and teachable attitude

Follow guidelines, event procedures, and safety protocols

Communicate concerns promptly and respectfully
-
Maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive information
Failure to follow volunteer responsibilities may result in dismissal from the volunteer role.
4. Confidentiality and Privacy
Volunteers must preserve confidentiality regarding:

Student information

Internal communications
-
Operational processes
-
Event logistics and credentialing
-
TIUA’s strategic partnerships and programs
Information gained through volunteer service may not be shared publicly or used for personal benefit.
5. Respectful Conduct and Anti-Harassment Standards
TIUA is committed to a work environment free from harassment, discrimination, or intimidation.
Volunteers may not engage in:

Harassment (verbal, physical, or digital)

Discrimination of any kind

Intimidation or threatening behavior

Inappropriate conversations or physical contact

Sexual misconduct or suggestive behavior
Respect, dignity, and professionalism are required at all times.
6. Social Media and Digital Conduct
Volunteers must represent TIUA responsibly in all online activities.
Prohibited actions include:

Posting negative, defamatory, or misleading content about TIUA or its people

Sharing confidential or internal information
-
Using TIUA content, logos, or event photos without approval
-
Engaging in online arguments, conflicts, or attacks while representing TIUA
Digital conduct must align with TIUA’s standards of integrity and professionalism.
7. Safety, Security, and Proper Conduct at Events
Whether serving at graduations, summits, pageants, mission trips, conferences, or outreach events, volunteers must:

Follow instructions from event coordinators

Maintain safety practices
-
Wear proper identification
-
Report concerns immediately
-
Interact with guests and students respectfully
Volunteer access badges, assignments, and privileged areas may not be misused.
8. Use of TIUA Property and Materials
Volunteers must treat TIUA property, supplies, and equipment with care.
Volunteers may not:

Remove TIUA property without permission

Use materials for personal or outside purposes

Damage, misuse, or neglect event resources
9. Conflict of Interest and Personal Gain
Volunteers must avoid actions that could create conflicts of interest, such as:

Using volunteer roles to promote personal businesses or services

Soliciting donations or selling goods without approval
-
Leveraging volunteer status for personal opportunities or influence
Volunteers serve to advance TIUA, not personal agendas.
10. Mission Trip and Travel Conduct
Volunteers participating in TIUA-related travel or international assignments must:

Follow all TIUA travel protocols

Act with cultural sensitivity

Respect host-country customs and TIUA leadership
-
Avoid unauthorized fundraising, recruitment, or representation

Conduct themselves with excellence and professionalism
Misconduct during travel may result in immediate dismissal.
11. Reporting Concerns and Accountability
Volunteers must report any concerns regarding:

Safety

Misconduct
-
Ethical violations
-
Inappropriate behavior

Misrepresentation of TIUA
-
Fraud or misuse of resources
Reports should be made to a TIUA director, supervisor, or the Office of Institutional Affairs.
TIUA maintains strict confidentiality and prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
12. Disciplinary Actions and Dismissal
TIUA reserves the right to remove a volunteer at any time for:

Misconduct

Breach of confidentiality

Unsafe behavior

Disrespectful or disruptive conduct

Violations of TIUA policies or instructions

Actions that negatively impact the reputation of TIUA
Dismissal decisions are confidential and final.
