TIUA Student Code of Conduct

Trinity International University of Ambassadors
Including All Subsidiaries and Affiliate Institutions
Christ-Centered. Integrity-Driven. Excellence-Committed.

Trinity International University of Ambassadors (TIUA) upholds a global standard of excellence rooted in Christian values. Students enrolled in any TIUA program—whether online, onsite, or through an affiliate institution—are expected to represent the university with integrity, professionalism, and Christlike character. This Student Code of Conduct outlines the expectations TIUA maintains for all students, both in academic life and in personal conduct.

Biblical Foundation and Institutional Commitment

TIUA is a Christ-centered institution guided by biblical principles. Our approach to conduct and correction is grounded in Matthew 18:15:

“If your brother sins, go and correct him privately.”

We believe in addressing concerns with dignity, compassion, and confidentiality. Our goal is restoration, not embarrassment or public judgment. TIUA’s conduct standards promote a safe, respectful, and spiritually enriched environment.

  • TIUA degree programs (earned or honorary)

  • TIUA School of Business

  • Trinity International Chaplaincy Institute

  • TIUA subsidiaries, affiliates, partnerships, and global programs

It governs conduct in all settings, including:

  • Online and virtual classrooms

Behavioral Expectations for Students

1. Christlike Character

Students are expected to demonstrate respect, humility, accountability, and maturity in all interactions. This includes maintaining professionalism, honoring commitments, and treating others with dignity.

2. Academic Integrity

TIUA expects honesty and ethical behavior in all academic work. Students shall not engage in plagiarism, cheating, falsification of documents, or submitting work that is not their own. The misuse of AI tools to produce academic assignments is prohibited.

TIUA Honor Creed:
“As an ambassador of Christ at TIUA, I commit to uphold honor, truth, and academic integrity in all pursuits.”

3. Ethical Conduct

Students shall refrain from any conduct that undermines the mission or reputation of TIUA. This includes fraud, deception, misrepresentation, or unauthorized use of TIUA’s name, brand, or affiliations. Students must not claim TIUA partnerships, delegations, or authority without written approval.

4. Respect for Others

Harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, or any form of hostility toward others is prohibited. TIUA maintains an environment where all members of the community feel valued and protected.

5. Substance Misuse

The possession, use, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled substances is strictly prohibited. Public intoxication or substance abuse that disrupts university activity or tarnishes TIUA’s reputation is not permitted.

6. Weapons and Safety

Weapons, explosives, and any materials intended to cause harm are not allowed in any TIUA-affiliated environment or activity.

7. Digital and Social Media Conduct

Students must use social media responsibly. This includes refraining from defamatory statements, online harassment, sharing confidential university information, or misrepresenting TIUA. Digital conduct reflects personal character and impacts the university’s integrity.

8. Mission Trip, Travel, and Representation Conduct

Students representing TIUA in any domestic or international capacity are required to uphold professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and ethical behavior. Unauthorized fundraising, travel coordination, or claiming TIUA delegations is prohibited. Students must adhere to leadership instructions during all TIUA-related travel.

Disciplinary and Restoration Process

TIUA follows a fair, confidential, and biblically aligned process when addressing conduct concerns.

1. Private Correction

Initial concerns are addressed privately in accordance with biblical standards.

2. Administrative Review

If needed, the matter is reviewed by the Office of Institutional Affairs or appropriate academic leadership.

3. Investigation

The university may gather documentation, interview involved parties, and review relevant information.

4. Determination and Outcomes

Resolutions may include:

  • Written warnings

  • Academic sanctions

  • Restorative or mentorship plans

6. Appeals

Students may appeal decisions in writing within five business days of notification.

Honorary Degree Conduct Standards

Honorary degrees are awarded to individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and impact. TIUA reserves the right to review or revoke an honorary degree if an individual’s behavior violates ethical, legal, or biblical standards or damages the integrity of TIUA. All reviews are handled privately and respectfully.
